IBSA Academy: the new training paths for individual and professional development

IBSA Academy

Recognising the importance of professional and personal development, IBSA has created and recently launched IBSA Academy a training programme designed to support the long-term professional growth of its employees.

The Academy offers training courses aimed at enhancing personal or cross-functional skills, also known as soft skills, such as effective communication, leadership, emotional intelligence, time management and self-efficacy.

The IBSA Academy’s offer includes 35 different courses. Seminars began in October 2024 and will involve over 200 people across 15 classes this year alone. The plan for 2025 is under development, and should overall include a total of over 70 sessions. Currently, courses are available to IBSA employees based in Switzerland and Italy, and include both theoretical and practical learning moments, bringing together employees from various Functions.

IBSA’s rapid growth brings with it changes and complexities, and training can help us manage them”, explained Carlo Riccardi, Sr. Talent & Training Manager. “The official launch of IBSA Academy is a further testament to IBSA’s concrete commitment to investing in people, who are considered the heart of the company, as well as one of its four pillars”.

CONCRETENESS, CONTINUITY, EVOLUTION AND EXCHANGE

IBSA Academy is designed to integrate with IBSA’s performance management system, to ensure that the skills developed are aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Precisely for this reason, it focuses on areas such as decision-making; change and innovation; collaboration; planning and organisation; result orientation; team leadership and development.

The entire programme is based on four key principles:

  • Concreteness, since training is a practical lever for improving performance;
  • Continuity, with sessions taking place throughout the year, to maximise training impact;
  • Evolution, with a dynamic offering that is enriched over time;
  • Exchange, because training also provides an opportunity for discussion and the sharing of ideas and experiences.

AN EXPANDING INTERNATIONAL TRAINING PLAN FOCUSED ON LISTENING

IBSA Academy was launched also following the 2023 corporate opinion survey, Sharing is Caring, which involved IBSA employees in Italy, Switzerland, France, and the US, recording an average participation of over 80%.

Listening is crucial for us. Our job consists precisely in listening to people, in order to build our future together”, announced Francesca Iezzi, People Development Manager. “The extension of the Academy globally is also being evaluated, with options for online courses in English, ensuring consistency in values and training objectives regardless of geographical location”.
