“Diversity, Inclusion & Sustainability”: IBSA awarded for the inclusive sailing initiatives of its project "Sailing into the Future. Together"

At the fourth edition of The PRize – the award promoted by UNA (Aziende della Comunicazione Unite, “United Communication Companies”) and dedicated to the most relevant projects in the Italian Public Relations landscape – IBSA was awarded in the “Diversity, Inclusion & Sustainability” category for its inclusive sailing initiatives aimed at people with disabilities, carried out within the framework of the project Sailing into the Future. Together.

During the ceremony, held on April 16 at the Ara Pacis in Rome, the project Sailing into the Future. Together won the bronze award for its ability to generate a tangible social impact through structured communication, aligned with company values and focused on celebrating diversity. The project stood out for its capacity to combine sport, inclusion and social responsibility, promoting sailing among people with disabilities as a means to break down physical and cultural barriers. 

PROMOTING INCLUSION THROUGH SAILING: IBSA’S COMMITMENT

IBSA chose to develop Sailing into the Future. Together on an international scale, involving sailing clubs in Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, and the United States.

From the donation of Hansa 303 boats, designed to be sailed by people with disabilities, to the support of various sports associations – such as Associazione Velabili at the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano (Switzerland), Société des Régates d’Antibes on the French Riviera (France), Escuela de Vela Adaptada in Sitges (Spain) and Sail to Prevail in Newport (US) – up to its collaboration with national federations such as the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV, Federazione Italiana Vela), IBSA has implemented concrete and wide-ranging actions.

All of this has been supported by its strategic partnership with Noesis, which has worked alongside IBSA to develop a widespread and structured communication strategy – including a dedicated website (www.ibsasailing.com), media relations activities and press campaigns – to amplify the project’s values, goals and visibility.

A COMMUNICATION PROJECT THAT GIVES VOICE TO INCLUSION

The PRize is currently the only Italian award exclusively dedicated to public relations and communication. It’s an opportunity to highlight the quality of the projects developed by companies, organisations and agencies that combine strategic effectiveness, creativity, and a focus on key contemporary issues.

With this award, IBSA strengthens its commitment to inclusion and sustainability, reaffirming its determination to put into practice – even beyond the pharmaceutical field – the core values that inspire the company: the centrality of the Person, Quality, Innovation and Responsibility.

It’s a feeling that carries immense human value, and confirms just how possible – and necessary – it is to build connecting spaces capable of breaking down barriers, making diversity a shared resource.
